Found these online (21.11.2010)
Hey! So this is the first post in a series that I wanted to start from back in the summer, but due to my laziness it got pushed back to now. So, every week I will post a link roundup of the most important articles I came across this week. Now, check these articles out and if you like the selection, check back next week and see what interesting things I found that week.
- What Alcohol Actually Does to Your Brain and Body - A nice piece on Life Hacker that talks about myths and effects of alcohol on your body.
- The Loves Me Not Season - I first saw this on David McCandless’ TED Talk and seeing that the season is coming up, I felt like posting it.
- William Eggleston: For Now - A series of great photos from William Eggleston with captions written by the photographer.
- Jonathan Safran Foer Talks Tree of Codes and Conceptual Art - A great interview with Jonathan Safran Foer about his latest book, the future of books and stuff.
- Rethinking the Mobile Web - This presentation really helps understanding the importance of the Mobile Web.
- Why Do We Love Nathan Fillion? - I don’t think it a surprise for a lot of people that I’m a big fan of Captain Hammer’s, and this article points out all the great reasons why you should love Nathan Fillion too.
- Responding to spec work requests - Spec work is the death of the civilised world and this shows a nice way of dealing with it.
- 20 Things I Learned about Browsers and the Web - Google’s really awesome presentation on what the Web is and how it works.
- May the force of Typography be with you - Type posters of Star Wars are made out of WIN.
- Charlie Rangel, You Got Mailed - A segment from The Colbert Report with one of my favourite unintentional singers and with typography references.
- Desert Bus for Hope - So, November is filled with awesome charities, and Desert Bus is no exception. Donate! It’s for the children! (live feed is here)
That’s it for now!
